The candidate will be expected to coordinate with the NY Metro Transit Rail Market Sector Lead and the NY Metro Business Line Lead for Transportation, to keep them informed of upcoming work from all of the NY Metro Area s key Transit Agencies. A thorough working knowledge of the key transportation issues within the region and the challenges the Agencies face will be required of the candidate. In addition, this position requires the individual hired to have and continue to develop a good working relationship with the key senior management of these Transit Agencies so that they will be able to consult and advise the Transit Agencies on solutions to Key Issues. The individual may also be called upon to manage a major Program and is expected to perform the following: Manages the most complex and sensitive projects, programs, or client relationships, often in multiple geographic locations. Many assignments are distinguished by their magnitude or program complexity, requiring that more than one person be involved; candidate will manage and coordinate with the staff assigned. Proactively identifies potential problems or opportunities, analyzes the issues using all appropriate resources, develops alternatives and arrives at the most optimum approach to mitigate problems or exploit opportunities. Authority to act independently or as a team leader representing AECOM to our major Clients and other Consultants and is responsible for ensuring that the final product of the project or program team reflects the original scope and budget requirements.
